MTV AWARDS BEST DRESSED?
For the most part, everyone looked pretty good last night at the MTV VMAs. Britney Spears looked gorgeous, Pink was pretty and Jordin Sparks was flawless. But for my tastes, Rihanna was the best dressed! And I'm not talking about her red carpet look or her "Disturbia" performance look. The look that did it for me was her look duringT.I.'s performance! She took the rocker chick look to the next level of chic!

Homegirl rocked it! Her hair was fierce, her body was off the charts and she was just beautiful all around! Btw, if you missed the performance, check it out below!
Empty house
The kids have been in school for a week now. My baby is in kindergarden, so my house is empty. Do you very realize that a house has a different quite when the kids are asleep verses when they just are'nt home? When the kids are asleep, the house is full, but when they are'nt home it's just to still.!! Rick sleeps until around noon. So I have the house all to myself and I'm not so sure I like it.
I'm so happy that Sage loves school, and is having fun. But I miss him. They grow up to fast. I know that I felt this way when both the girls first went to school. I still had one kids around to fill my day:( I don't want and can't have any more. It would be nice to keep your babies little for as long as you want, then let them grow up at the pace you want. Time just is'nt nice.
I'm not ready for it to get cold. Minnesotas weather is'nt prodicable, so I know that it will warm up soon. But, why can't it wait until October when It's suppose to be chilly. It seamed like, as soon as school started, It got cold. Mornings are the worst. Happily, it does warm up to around 70 in the afternoon. It just does'nt stick around for long since it does'nt get that warm until around 3:00-3:30.
I need to stop complaining. I have a wonderfull family, loving husband , great kids and a rof over me head. I count my blessings, and keep a smile on my face. I know something good is going to happen soon. I can feel it. I just wish it would happen fast.
Have a wounderful week. Maybe I'll see you around some time
HELP: LEGAL ADVICE - QUESTION ON FMLA /TWINS
Hello to anyone who may know of an avenue my wife and I can go down. We just had twin boys on August 28th, they were born 27 weeks old. They are going to be in the NICU at Good Sam for a couple months. My wife was trying to go back to work now and take maternity leave when they come home at full term. A local billion dollar company with in-house insurance has told her she must take her leave now. It seems really senseless to have to take leave when your children are preterm in the hospital and when they need our care when they come home, she will have to return to work. She is not asking for time off now and when they come home, she just wants to work now and delay her leave until our children come home. They are going to be just like having newborns when they come home only require more care. We can't send them to a baby sitter!! We can't afford for her to take unpaid time off after they come home - any suggestions on what we can do or options we have. Besides getting a lawyer, which again costs money we do not have, we are out of options.
Thanks for any advice!!!!!
this will be EPIC

Going To Give It A Try....
Cerberus has written abou the high vibrational healing of the Violet Flame, so I'm going to try it. I found a wonderful vistual from our friend Witchy.
Flame of Power, Flame of Might:
Bring your healing into sight.
Violet Flame burning without end,
Bring me healing once again.
The rebirth of the universe
Well, here we all are almost at the moment the boys in white coats fire up the CERN accelerator and re-enact the birth of the universe. We are promised a burst of new knowledge. Am I alone in just mildly wondering whether that knowledge may arrive in a burst of white light that will either vaporise us or transport us to another dimension? Just another Wednesday in paradise.....

President's Greeting
President's Greeting
Welcome to another exciting year of providing health care to children. With a presidential election and upcoming scope of nurse practitioner practice, there is much to anticipate. Orange County NAPNAP also has some new changes, first of which is our new website. A big thank you to Vivian Derr for masterminding and setting this up.
Speaking of giving thanks, a big thank you to all our board members and especially to Patty Dupont-Tyler for serving as our president last year. However,we are missing one board member. We need to select a president-elect by September 20. Does that sounds like a scaryand busy job? It is not. Our educational plans are already set, so this person would just join in the fun and work with the board in planning next year. If this sounds like something you or someone you know would be interested, please let me know by September 20. And if going to the NAPNAP national conference is something you'd like to do, the president does get some funding toward expenses to represent our chapter at the meeting.
Did you know that 95% of car seats are used INCORRECTLY? I hope you will come to our educational meeting Thursday, October 2, 6:30pm at CHOC to find out how you can counsel parents on best practices and watch for common mistakes that you can address right in your office. Jill Olmstead, President of California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) will give us an update on CANP and the quest to obtain a NP scope of practice in California. Please RSVP to Judi Leonard if you are planning on attending. Bring a friend!
January 13 will bring us an update and screening tools for autism by Teri Book, PNP, from 4 OC Kids.
I hope you will enjoy the new website and let us know if you have any suggestions or encounter any challenges. Get involved and let any of the board members know how OC NAPNAP can assist you. Looking forward to moving more ahead into the digital age.
Best for a healthy fall,
Judi Leonard
Congratulations!
They just announced another Finalist!
Congratulations, Ariana and Michael.
I know I've been trying to leave comments for everyone, but I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who has made it thus far...
Christina & Aaron, Toni & Wade, Nick & Jessica, Porchea & Eric, and Ariana & Michael...
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
All of your stories are individual and unique, and that is what makes each and every one of us so special. Good Luck with the finals, and here's to hoping we will be joining you there!
P.S.
KNOWSHON FOR HEISMAN!!!!
If Moreno doesn't work out in the NFL, maybe he can schedule a try-out to run hurdles for the U.S. in 2012 in London...

Apple iPhone Impressions
I've had my iPhone for a few weeks now and am thus far incredibly impressed with the device. Even though it has its major flaws the phone makes you feel like you're finally in the 21st century.
First I'll tick off my biggest annoyance 1) battery life 2) no MMS 3) no way to toggle Push settings via a timer 4) Apple is slow at approving application updates
I came from using a Treo 650 and the Treo would last for several days of heavy use before needing to be recharged. By heavy use I mean hours of talk time, EDGE data downloading, etc. With my iPhone I am finding I have to charge it twice a day. It's a small sacrifice to make but I am sure that if I travel I'll need to bring one of those battery quickchargers (since my Macbook itself doesn't hold a charge too long, and
The most phone I've had with my iPhone thus far is using the 'Remote' iPhone app to control the music playlist at Thad's wedding. Thad put me in charge of downloading wedding songs from iTunes and organizing them into a playlist. He suggested I use 'Remote' to control the list during the wedding reception.
I hadn't yet used 'Remote' so I dug into it. I found out that 'Remote' only worked on a wifi connection. So I brought one of my old Linksys WRT54GS wireless routers to the wedding. We had horrible luck with the A/V equipment at the wedding--but the router itself worked quite well. I set up a 'wedding' wifi connection and had a laptop and my iPhone connect to it.
'Remote' was great fun to use, but it seemed incredibly finicky. When it worked it worked flawlessly, but oftentimes it just wouldn't find the iTunes library even thougg I had a perfect wifi signal. The highlight of my DJ'ing was when I got to start a Red Light Green Light game with the girls on stage dancing to Katy Perry's I Kissed a Girl.
On a side note, I hit a few buttons on my Treo today just for kicks and I saw that my Treo still has a 54% battery charge. The Treo has been unplugged for maybe 3 weeks now. I am sure if it had its cell antenna on it would have only lasted a week or so, but it's still impressive that it's holding such a charge on stand-by. I was loyal to Palm/Handspring for years and I do hope that they make a comeback.
With the iPhone it seems as though I have to charge my phone twice a day in order to ensure that I'll be able to talk on the phone later. I am travelling next week and am going to be looking at rapid backup chargers to ensure that I'll have juice whenever I need it.
That Blog (unforgiven)
Yoness to all and welcome to my review of unforgiven.
ok well unforgiven started up with ECW championship scramble match which was one of those matches that seemed to promise nothing but turned out to be the gift that just keeps giving. it opened up with the miz and matt hardy who solidly wrestled for the first five minutes then chavo came down and scored the first pinfall at which point the match gained a faster pace and was very enjoyable to watch. next to enter was mark henry who proceded to demonstrate just why he was ECW champion in the first place by physicaly dominating all three other competitors. and then there was the last entry in the match being finlay, as soon as finlay entered the match got alot faster and alot more choatic and it seemed like litirally anyone could have won and when the time ran out things ended with the new ECW champion being Matt Hardy (and about time too)
the next match was priceless vs cryme time with the tag gold on the line. This was a very competitive tag match which could of went either way. Cryme time used some interesting double team moves (most of which involved throwing JTJ at people) and priceless wrestled a solid match with the victory of Priceless. The only real complaint i have about this match is the weak finish (being a revearsal of a small package) but even that was immediatly overshadowed by the after match brawl between the two team with the surprise interference from Manu pretty much confirming that the dawn of evolution mark 2 is upon us.
next im gonna talk about the unsactioned match between jericho and shawn michaels. this was one of those matches wich going into it had the same kinda feel as the old matches between stone cold and kurt angle with a build up had been done excellently and as a match it didnt dissapoint it it truly was a gritty , agressive fight. this match ended with the not so surprising victory of shawn michaels but was definatly worth watching and was probably the match of the night.
we also had the smackdown scramble match. this match opened with jeff hardy and shelton and was fairly decent but seemed kinda lacking things did pick up however when The Brian kendrick made his (very slow) way down to the ring and the match became more and more interesting when kendrick scored a pinful and actually remained temp champ for a impressivly long time. after HHH entered this match (as the last person) though it very much became a contest between jeff hardy and the game with the victory of HHH (not relly surprising he wrestled for 5 minutes)
we also had the divas championship match between maryse and McCool. this again was a match that didnt promise much but actually turned out very good its just a shame more time hadnt went into this rivalry realy as this match had alot of potential to be even better.
and the last match of the night was raws scramble. due to events earlier in the night involving priceless and orton cm punk was unable to compete in this match meaning that we were pretty much guarenteed a new champion (unless of course no one was able to pin anyone else) but yeah it relly was one of those matches which was all about star power though it was mildly entertaining to watch. things did get rather interesting however when CM punks replacment Chris jericho hobbled down to the ring (now ever since the scramble was annouced iv been saying jericho should have been in there and clearly WWE aggreed) but anyway after spending most of the match in pain on the floor jericho manages to score a pinfall in the last few seconds saving us from a batista title reign (man batista has bad luck in title matches)
Can Hemmett please explain
Illegal immigrants caught fleeing UK
Who said the labour wouldn't come up with a solution to illegal immigration
Two illegal immigrants attempted to smuggle themselves out of Britain because of the economic downturn.
The pair, who are from Pakistan and have not been named, were caught cowering in the boot of a Ford Mondeo by border control officers at Dover.
They have since been deported.
At Canterbury Crown Court their driver, Mohammed Javed, 39, and his friend Arif Mahmoud, 34, both of Rochdale, admitted attempting to smuggle the men out of the country.
